Up-A-Ton 70, Blazers 62
A nip and tuck game as Up-A-Ton held on for a 70-62 victory and locked up the #1 seed. They were lead in scoring by old standby Colin Carr with 21 and Terrell Newton with 20. Colin London chipped in 10. The Blazers were paced by Brennan Bennett with 15 and Geoff Ashton with 18. The Blazers are the 6 seed and Up-A-Ton gets the bye as the 1 seed.
Wet Bandits 78, Birdmen 65
Joe Laroche (20 points) and Jakyri Simpson (19 points) lead the way for the Bandits and Dave Douliette had 16 as the Bandits held on in a tight game. The Birdmen got production from Niko Bryant (23 points) and the Jays (Snow and Bridge) with 10 each. This game will actually be a rematch in round 1 of the playoffs next week.
Western University Dolphins 99, 508 Athletics 67
Western University opened up a 48-41 halftime lead to a 99-67 victory behind the play of Lloyd Kennedy (30 points), Mitch Bajema (15 points) and Joey McCann (20 points). Keenan Burke-Pitts tossed in 13 for good measure. The 508 squad was spear headed by Dougv Roberge with 18, and Chris Sannicandro with 12. 508 concludes their season at 0-7. Western will garner the 3 seed and play the Blazers.
Not Your Average Movers 62, Horsemen 54
Mo Horton (21 points) lead all scorers as the Movers locked up the #4 seed. Junior De La Hoz added 12 and Pop Powell had 9 in the win. The Horsemen were paced by Mario Monaco with 17 points and Dan Koen with 14. This game will be replayed next week as the 4-5 game!
Player of the Week: Mo Horton, Movers Had 21 tough points in the victory over The Horsemen.

Up-A-Ton 79, Horsemen 56
Up-A-Ton broke it open in the second half and crusied to sole posession of first place as we enter the home stretch. Terrell Newton as usual paced the club with his 31 points (many from downtown) and the offense was assited by 16 from Tony Berrecil and 14 from Tom Casey. The Horsemen made a few runs but couldn't sustain them and were lead by Jay Gosselin with 20 and Ben McAuliffe with 16. Up-A-Ton will round out the regular season against the Blazers this coming week, while the Horsemen are part of the log jam of 2 loss teams and will face the Movers.
Not Your Average Movers 111, Birdmen 84
The Movers shook off last week's loss with a 111 point performance in game 2. The Movers were paced by Jesus Moore with 28 points in the victory. Mo Horton chipped in 27 and Brandon Jones had 28. The Birdmen were paced by Jay Snow with 23 and Niko Bryant with 22 in the defeat. The Birdmen will play the Wet Bandits next week, while The Movers will face the Horsemen in a game with big time seeding implications.
Wet Bandits 100, 508 Athletics 40
The Wet Bandits cruised to victory in the 8 PM game with a drubbing of 508 Athletics. Joe Laroche posted the seasons high game thus far with 38 points and the Bandits ran away with it. Jakyri Simpson added 19 in the win and Dave Douiliette had 16. The 508 Athletics team was lead by Brian Whittin with 9 and Doug Roberge with 17. The Bandits will face the Birdmen next week- while 508 will take on the Western University Dolphins.
Western University Dolphins 82, Blazers 67
The Dolphins opened up a 10 point halftime lead and held on the second half. The Dolphins benefitted from the return of Mitch Bajema (17 points, countless assists) and Joey McCann 18 points. They also got production from Lloyd Kennedy (24 points) who was on the recieveing end of many of Bajema's assists. The Blazers offense was propelled by Brennan Bennett with 27 points and Rob Elliot with 15. The Blazers have Up-A-Ton next week, while the Dolphins will finish up with 508.
Players of the Week:
Terrell Newton. Up-A-Ton. No Close games this week, so the best player in the biggest game gets one of our honors. 31 points in a big victory
Joey Laroche. Wet Bandits. Had 37 points and probably upwards of 22 rebounds in their victory over 508.

Up-A-Ton 98, Not Your Average Movers 80
Terrell Newton (25 points) and Colin London (15 points) helped the Up-A-Ton squad open it up and cruise to a 18 point win. Colin Carr chipped in 19 for the victors with 4 big three balls. The Movers were paced by Mo Horton with 29 points and Brandon Jones with 15. The Movers will return to action next week against the always tough Birdmen, while Up-A-Ton will take on the Horsemen in a game with gigantic first place perportions.
Western University Dolphins 85, Birdmen 75
The Birdmen paced by Derek Johnson's 20 points fought the good fight without star guard Niko Bryant. Jay Snow also had 18- in the loss. The Dolphins got 23 from Lloyd Kennedy, but the real story was Keenan Burke-Pitts who if the Dolphins were the 1980s movie Young Guns would usually be content to be Lou Diamond Phillips to Jeff Robinson's Charlie Sheen and Mitch Bajema's Emilio Estevez...Tonight Lou Diamond Burke-Pitts had 26 points and proved that I shouldn't write these while watching Encore3. The Dolphins will face the Dolphins next week while The Birdmen will play the Movers.
Blazers 96, 508 Athletics 57
The Blazers crusied to a win behind the scoring of Rob Elliot (22 points), Mike Perrault (24 points) and Jay McKinney (14 points). 508 was paced by Luke Recker with 28 points. The Blazers will face the Dolphins next week, while 508 will play The Wet Bandits.
Horsemen 67, Wet Bandits 61
The Horsemen just keep coming. Despite an early deficit they came back strong and downed The Wet Bandits by 6. The Bandits were paced by 23 points from Joey Laroche. Dave Douiliette had 13. The Horsemen were lead by Mario Monaco with 16 and Danny Koen with 15. Ben McAuliffe had 12 and Jason Gosselin had 14. The Horsemen will take on the Movers next week while The Bandits will play 508.
Player of the Week: Keenan Burke-Pitts, Western University Dolphins. 26 Points in a nip and tuck win.

Up-A-Ton 88, Western University Dolphins 53
Up-A-Ton was lead by Terrell Newton and his 25 points and cruised to victory in the early game. Tony Berrecil and Colin London both kicked in 16 points in the victory. Western University Dolphins were lead by Lloyd Kennedy with 26 and Keenan Burke-Pitts with 9. Up-A-Ton will return to action next week against Not Your Average Movers wheras The Dolphins will try to get back on track against The Birdmen.
Blazers 104, Birdmen 82
The Blazers road the hot hand of Corey Prior (34 points) to their first victory of the session. Mike Perrault kicked in 24 and Rob Elliot 18 in the win. The Birdmen were paced by Niko Bryant with 30 points in the defeat. Derek Johnson kicked in 14 in his Birdmen debut. The Birdmen will take on the Dolphins next week while The Blazers will see 508 Athletics.
Not Your Average Movers 92, Wet Bandits 90 (2 OT)
The game of the session for sure. A Dave Douliette three as time expired in regulation forced overtime for the Wet Bandits. Douiliette had 23 points on the night. The Bandits took command over the first overtime behind Joey Laroche (21 points) and Jakyri Simpson (18) but with time winding down Brandon Jones (18 points) connected on a 3 of his own to force a second over time for Not Your Average Movers. In the 2nd overtime a Douliette 3 went just long as time expired. The Movers got great offensive production out of Mo Horton (20 points), Junior De La Hoz (22 points) and Troy Herrod (18 points). The Movers will take on Up-A-Ton next week, and The Bandits will see The Horsemen.
Horsemen 76, 508 Athletics 54
Jake Ratcliffe (23 points) lead the way for 508 Athletics who also got some solid floor play from Al Ratcliffe in the defeat. The Horsemen connected early and often from downtown as Ben McAuliffe (20 points) and Jay Gosselin (27 points) lead the way from outside. Shane Truddell who also fancies himself an offical added 20 in the W. The Horsemen will take on the Wet Bandits next week in a game with giant playoff implications, and 508 will play The Blazers.
Player of the Week: Troy Herrod Not Your Average Movers. Had 18 all from downtown, kept the Movers alive during the crucial second half Bandits run.

Up-A-Ton 75, Birdmen 67
Terrell Newton (33 points) and Colin London (12 points) lead the charge for Up-A-Ton as they held off a few rallies from the Birdmen. The Birdmen were lead by Niko Bryant with 22 points and Jay Snow with 17 points. They will return to action next week against The Blazers, while Up-A-Ton will tangle with The Western University Dolphins.
Horsemen 63, Blazers 57
Despite 19 points from Captain Rob Elliot, the Blazers fell to 0-3 in a tight game with The Horsemen. Mike Perrault added 12 in defeat. The Horsemen's balanced attack was spearheaded by Danny Koen with 16 and Ben McAuliffe with 14. The Horsemen will face 508 Athletics next week, while The Blazers will try and get in the win column against the Birdmen.
Wet Bandits 81, Western University Dolphins 57
Joe Laroche had 18 points (many from downtown) and Mike Dzciek added 17 and Dave Douiliette 14 as the Bandits took down the Dolphins. The Dolphins scoring came from Mitch Bajema with 15, Matt Dzciek with 15 and Lloyd Kennedy with 12. The Dolphins will face Up-A-Ton next week while The Wet Bandits will play Not Your Average Movers.
Not Your Average Movers 99, 508 Athletics 41
508 Athletics got 14 points from Ryan Hill and hung in early but Not Your Average Movers simply had too much firepower. The Mover Club was paced by Mo Horton with 31 points, while Troy Herrod added 18 and Pop Powell 17 in the victory. The Movers will take on The Wet Bandits next week while 508 Athletics will see the Horsemen.
Player of the Week: Terrell Newton, Up-A-Ton. 33 points in a well fought victory, earns him his first player of the week award of the fall session.

Wet Bandits 69, Up-A-Ton 61 (OT)
Jakyri Simpson (25 points) lead the charge for the Wet Bandits as they advanced to 2-0 in the early game. Joe Laroche added 15 for the victors while Dave Douiliette added 10. Up-A-Ton was lead by the swift play of Terrell Newton with 23 and solid balance from Colin Carr (9), Cody Fournier (9) and Tony Berrecil (10). The (1-1) Up-A-Ton will face The Birdmen after the bye week, while The Wet Bandits will face Western University Dolphins in a battle of unbeatens.
Birdmen 68, 508 Athletics 64
Birdmen held on in a sloppy affair. Jeremy Bridge posted 21 in the win for the Birdmen and Jay Snow had 18, but the story was Alvin Hall shattering his career high with 16 in the win. 508 had prodigious balance with Chris Sannicadnro with 12, Dan Bessa with 18, Bob Chalmers with 18 and Bri Whitten with 14. The Birdmen will play Up-A-Ton next week we play while 508 will play Not Your Average Movers. Special note that this was Dan Bessa's final BVBL for quite some time as he relocates to North Carolina, a fond farewell to a true gentleman on the league.
Western University Dolphins 74, Horsemen 62
The Dolphins evaded the upset despite 22 points from Danny Koen and 14 from Ben McAuliffe for the Horsemen. The Dolphin attack was headed up by Mitch Bajema with 25 points and Lloyd Kennedy with 17. Matt Dzzcieck chipped in 14 and Joe McCann added 12. The Dolphins will face the Wet Bandits next week while The Horsemen will tangle with The Blazers.
Not Your Average Movers 72, Blazers 62
A game that was tight throughout was opened up by the long range shooting of Junior De La Hoz. He finished with 29 for the Movers. Brandon Jones added 17 and Quincy Nunnelly added 9. The Blazers were paced by Mike Perrault with 16 and Brennen Bennett with 13. The Blazers will face the Horsmen next, while the Movers will take on 508 Athletics
Player of the Week: Junior De La Hoz, Not Your Average Movers. 29 points in a tightly contested game for the diminutive floor general.

Up-A-Ton 72, 508 Athletics 41
Behind the slashing drives of Terrell Newton (17 points), the inside play of Tony Berrecil (10 points), the streaky shooting of Tom Casey (12 points) and the alla round play of Colin Carr and Zach Adams (10 points each). Up-A-Ton raced to their first victory in the BVBL Fall Session. 508 Athletics were paced by Bobby Chalmers with 11, Dan Bessa with 9 and Chris Sannicandro with 9. 508 Athletics will face The Birdmen next week while Up-A-Ton will play The Wet Bandits.
Horsemen 61, Birdmen 51
In an old time 5 on 5 iron man game. The Horsemen held on for a 61-51 victory over the Birdmen. The Birdmen were lead by Niko Bryant with 18 and Jay Snow with 19, but the Horsemen attack of Jason Gosselin (20 points), Fran Defalco (14 points) and Ben McAullife (10 points) was too much as The Horsemen took the opener. They will face Western University Dolphins next week, while The Birdmen will face 508 Athletics.
Western University Dolphins 77, Not Your Average Movers 65
Despite 25 points and a show stopping put back dunk by Brandon Jones- Not Your Average Movers fell 77-65 to The Western University Dolphins. The Dolphins attack was spearheaded by Jeff Robinson and Mitch Bajema with 21 points a piece- while Joey McCann added 15 and Lloyd Kennedy added 13. The movers also got 13 from Jesus Trejo and 11 from Junior De La Hoz. They will return to action next week against The Blazers, while Western will tangle with the Horsemen.
Wet Bandits 75, Blazers 74
The game of the night! This one was back and forth all night. A 44 all tie at the half...in the second the Blazers extended to as much as a 7 point lead, while The Wet Bandits had an 8 point lead of their own. In the final seconds however Jaykiri Simpson made a contested to layup to tie the game at 74 and was fouled, hitting the free throw to provide the margin of victory for The Bandits. The Bandits were paced by Mike Dzciek with 16 points, Joey Laroche with 15 and Mike O'Leary with 12. The Blazers had Mike Perrault (19), Zach Valliere (19) and Brennan Bennett (17) all in double figures. The Blazers will face Not Your Average Movers next week, while The Bandits will see Up-A-Ton.
Player of the week: Jason Gosselin, Horsemen. Had 20 including a few back breaking threes down the stretch in their week 1 victory.
